Spark’Dwell Youth Summer Mission July 23-28

Brendan MurphyonTuesday, January 31, 2023 REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS THIS SUNDAY MARCH 5! St. Timothy’s will be joining other churches at Spark’Dwell in Winston Salem July 23-28 to engage in “Spirit and Service Learning Experiences.” The program combines local service experiences and thoughtful discussion surrounding homelessness and its related complex issues alongside formerly or currently homeless individuals to consider how the church is responding as a Matthew 25 people. We have 8 student spots for this trip which is open to current (2022-2023) 6th-12th graders. The total cost of the trip is $360, due in installments beginning with a non-refundable $50 deposit by March 5. The cost should be lowered by a group fundraising effort this spring (details TBD). Confidential scholarship money is available, contact Martha[email protected]. We never want cost to be the reason why someone doesn’t participate! Dinner Groups

Brendan MurphyonWednesday, January 25, 2023 The Dinner Groups are off to a great start! If you missed the kick-off but are still interested in joining we have room in the Wednesday evening group. Here are the dates and times the groups will be meeting The Wednesday night group will meet the 1st Wednesday of the month The Thursday night group will meet the1st Thursday of the month at 6 pm at a restaurant. The Friday night group will meet at a person’s home. The Saturday night group will meet @ 6:30 pm at someone’s home. There are three Sunday afternoon groups and they meet at various locations, some homes and some restaurants. The newcomers group will be hosting a group soon. crew45 this Sunday

Brendan MurphyonTuesday, January 24, 2023 Community. Relationship. Engagement. Wonder. crew45 is a fifth Sunday offering for our 4th and 5th graders. We meet directly after the 10:15am service (approx. 11:30am) and finish up around noon. Typically we play games, have a snack, and talk about a scripture verse. It is an active and exciting experience. We would love to see you there, this is the last one of the year!

5th Sunday Fellowship

Brendan MurphyonTuesday, January 17, 2023 Please join us for the Fifth Sunday Fellowship Hour onApril 30th from 9-10am.This is a time of food and fellowship with other parishioners of all ages, and will happen at the same time as the Youth Summer Mission Fundraiser. It takes place between the 8:00 and 10:15 church services in the Parish Hall, so stay late or come early for a light brunch, conversation, and song!

Altar Flowers

Brendan MurphyonTuesday, January 10, 2023 Flower envelopes are available in the pews at church. Flowers on the altar can be given in honor of, in thanksgiving for, and in memory of a loved one. Any special Sunday to you is a great time to donate the flowers on the altar! Just fill out the envelope with the specific date in mind and include the $35 donation. You can even request certain colors or flowers of importance.

No nursery this Sunday (Families First)

Brendan MurphyonTuesday, January 10, 2023 Families First is a modified Rite 2 service designed for all ages, with less readings and a children’s homily. To encourage family participation, the nursery is not open on Families First weeks (first Sunday of the month). The nursery is open most Sundays 9:45-11:45am for ages 3 months — 3 years old. Families can find the nursery in the Education building, in the first classroom on the left (classroom 2). Two caring staff will greet you and help settle in. Information for families about nursery protocols can be found on our website and packets will be available at drop off. Contact Martha with questions[email protected].

MLK Day of Service with Food Bank ENC

“Spontaneous” Pageant Jan. 8

Brendan MurphyonTuesday, December 20, 2022 On Sunday January 8 we will “transfer” the feast of the Epiphany as well as our Families First experience into a pageant for and by all ages at our 10:15am worship service. In place of the sermon and appointed gospel, a narrator will read the entirety of the Christmas story, with characters and symbols slowly populating the front of the church to represent the story. Folks of all ages are invited to come at 9:30 in the Chapel to pick out a costume, you can be whatever you like! There will be animals and kings, shepherds and stars, and lots more. You can even wear a costume from home if you prefer. We hope that you and your family will join in!
