End of Year Faith Fund Donation

Brendan MurphyonWednesday, December 20, 2023 Do you have an IRA and are you subject to a required minimum distribution (RMD)? Are you thinking of making a year-end gift to the Faith Fund? If so, why not have your IRA administrator issue a check directly to St. Timothy’s Faith Fund as a qualified charitable distribution. Rather than taking the RMD withdrawal, depositing it in your account, writing the check to the Faith Fund, and deducting it on your tax return, the qualified charitable distribution, unlike an RMD, doesn’t inflate your adjusted gross income. For more information on how this might be right for you, consult your investment advisor or IRA administrator. The Faith Fund is an endowment created in 2023 by the St. Timothy’s Vestry. This endowment will greatly benefit St. Timothy’s for generations to come. The earnings from the Faith Fund will enable St. Timothy’s to more completely fulfill its mission by providing funds for its ministries and capital needs beyond what is possible through its annual operating funds.

Holiday Christmas Cheer Thank you!

Brendan MurphyonWednesday, December 6, 2023 We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all who were able to participate in this year’sHoliday Cheergift collection for children in foster care.Your generosity allowed us to provide 17 children with gifts, including clothing, shoes, arts and crafts, science supplies, dolls, games, sports equipment, electronics, diapers, gift cards, Legos, jewelry, and much more.It took three social workers and two mini vans to transport these gifts back to DSS, at which point the social workers will deliver the gifts to the families. They were extremely thankful for our support! We are appreciative of each individual and family who provided a gift, wrapping paper, or cash donation for us to purchase items. We would also like to acknowledge ECW, Brotherhood, and Outreach Committee for their financial support, as well as the financial support and shopping done by St. Timothy’s and St. Paul’s youth ministries (and the fearless adults who helped the youth shop!). Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.May you know that your generosity will make an impact on a child, and their family, this Christmas season.
